I'm So Eclipsed 🌚
Full moon in Pisces and lunar eclipse: instead of a ritual, a letter about closing cycles, releasing what has run its course, and resisting a little less. With three questions to keep you company.
About this moon
How has the portal between eclipses been treating you? Because I have to tell you something: I am so eclipsed.
Between the solar eclipse in Leo on August 12 and this lunar eclipse in Pisces, my whole inner world has been stirred up. I don't know if it's just me, but the energy of these eclipses has felt intense.
So first I want to hear from you: how has this eclipse season moved you?
This lunar eclipse in Pisces, which happens between the night of the 27th and the early hours of the 28th, comes to speak to us about closing cycles we've been working on for a while.
And when I say closing cycles, I don't necessarily mean that tomorrow you're going to quit your job, end a relationship and move to Bali. Sometimes the closing happens inside.
- •A way of relating.
- •Something you're no longer willing to sacrifice.
- •A version of yourself.
- •A way of working.
- •An idea of who you thought you had to be.
The Pisces–Virgo axis
This eclipse happens on the Pisces–Virgo axis, and there's something about these two signs together that feels very powerful to me.
Pisces takes us inward: toward our intuition, our emotional world, surrender, service, and our relationship with the collective.
But it also shows us the shadow of that surrender:
- •How much of yourself are you giving?
- •At what point did serving turn into sacrificing yourself?
- •How can you be part of something bigger without losing yourself in the process?
And on the other side we have Virgo. Right now, as we enter Virgo season, I've been studying this sign more, and I came across an image I loved: the harvest.
Because harvesting also means choosing:
- •This, yes.
- •This, no.
- •This I keep nourishing.
- •This has run its course, and I let it die.
And I find it such a beautiful image for this eclipse. We can't nourish everything forever. There are things, routines, jobs, bonds and versions of ourselves that at some point made sense… and that maybe no longer need to keep taking up the same space.
This time, something simpler
So if you want to work with this eclipse, I wouldn't tell you that you need to do anything huge. In fact, I'm not going to do any ritual. And you know how much I love lunar rituals, haha.
I don't think there's anything wrong with doing magic during an eclipse. But the energy can feel chaotic and, honestly, I'm already eclipsed enough.
This time I want to do something much simpler:
- •Meditate.
- •Write.
- •Observe.
And let the eclipse show me whatever it needs to show me.
Three questions to keep you company
If you're also feeling deeply eclipsed, here are three questions to keep you company these days:
- •What am I still holding on to even though I know it has run its course?
- •Where am I giving more than I can truly give?
- •What do I want to keep nourishing, and what am I ready to let go of?
You don't need to answer them all. Maybe just one strikes a chord. Start there.
Lately I keep coming back to this idea that resisting the process can create more suffering than the process itself.
So if this eclipse is stirring you up as much as it is me… I hope we can resist a little less and listen a little more.
Let's see what it wants to show us. 🌚✨
We'll talk soon,
Sofía
P.S. And yes, I want to know if I'm the only one who's utterly eclipsed, haha. Write to me and tell me what's been moving for you these days.
Did you do the ritual?
I'd love to hear how it went for you. Write to me or leave a comment: let's start the conversation. 🌙
